Baked Chickpea French Fries
These chickpea french fries only require 2 ingredients and are very easy to make!
You’ll only need chickpea flour and water to make these delicious, crispy and healthy fries. I personally love the taste of chickpea flour and I find that these fries go really well with hummus or this vegan cheese sauce (recipe below).
Healthy and High-Protein Fries
Since these fries are baked, they are completely oil-free. They are also naturally gluten-free and high in protein since they are made with chickpea flour.
To make them, you just have to:
- Boil the water and stir in chickpea flour until the mixture thickens.
- Transfer the mixture to a lined baking pan and let it set in the fridge for 1 hour.
- Slice into fries and bake until golden brown and crispy.
Chickpea Fries with Vegan Cheese Sauce
I really like to dip these fries in a vegan cheese sauce that is made with red lentils, carrots, coconut milk and nutritional yeast.
The sauce is ready in 5 minutes and has a nice cheesy flavor thanks to the nutritional yeast. You could also make hummus or use store-bought tomato sauce.
Alright, I hope you guys will enjoy these high-protein chickpea fries! They’re:
- Rich in protein
- Easy to make with only 2 ingredients!
- Naturally gluten-free
- Delicious with this easy vegan cheese sauce
